Mary Wordsworth was born and raised in rural North Essex. After completing her arts degree in Oxford she moved to London where she worked for 10 years before starting a family. It was then that Mary started working for herself as a curtain designer. When she moved to Suffolk in 2003 she continued to grow her curtain business, before launching her own designs and hand-picked selection of soft furnishings and accessories.

In 2008 she launched her website which includes her own designs, and a range of items in which she has collaborated with local East Anglian artists. Inspired by her family and her heritage of poetry, country living and East Anglia itself, Mary’s select range of beautiful accessories have been personally picked for your home.

The ceramics have all been hand painted and hand glazed by local Suffolk artist Zoë Bullen. The current themes includes sea creatures, birds, reptiles, mammals and mythological creatures, all inspired from 17th and 18th century drawings.

All the soft furnishings have been designed and created in our workroom. They are made up from a combination of fabrics, mixing and matching tones and textures. All the silk items are made from silk sourced at the Suffolk silk mills.
